Their work is not limited to the stage. Come Put Your Feet Under Our Table is their mission invitation. Coaching and conversations over coffee is where many lives have been touched through this family and ministry friends.
Their gifts revolve around a pastoral mode whether on tour, in their kitchen or in a pastoral office. You can hear it in the choice of concert and worship songs, the preached messages and their teaching in seminars and books.
"Dean has been my Spiritual Director for twenty years. He is someone from whom I can hear direct teaching from God. I have shared both spiritual victories and failures with him. I consider him a terrific gift to have in my life."

By the time they shifted from pastoral ministry to full time concert and seminar work, they had recorded five albums of eclectic Gospel music. Regardless of source, The Benton Sound embraces credible words, tight three part harmony with a strong message. The Bentons, with various lineups of family and other singers, have worked in 74 denominations, in 42 states in nearly 3500 venues. Music is at the core of the Bentons’ ministry.
The Bentons’ seminars number into the hundreds. An Indiana businessman said, “The best seminar leaders we’ve ever used.” A Nebraska pastor adds, “Dean is a great seminar leader. With Carole in the mix, the seminar is dynamite!”
Seminar topics have shifted with each Benton life stage. They are geared to speak to front page topics and what touches each age and season. The pattern has been to write a book about a personal growth area or struggle, then use the research and experiences in interactive seminars.
